Why I chose my colors
I'm trying to reduce my stash so I used fabrics on hand and I am partial to greens.
Why I chose either scrappy or orderly
Orderly - it's easier for me as I'm not very good at selecting values.
I was pleased with my choice of fabrics. I think I might try this pattern again using vintage fabrics. If I did vintage, I would choose to do it in a scrappy fashion.
Tips and Tricks
- I didn't know how to quilt it and I had just gotten a "new to me" sewing machine so I used as many of the decorative stitches I could just to get comfortable with the machine and to see what it could do. Fun!
What I might do differently if I use the pattern again
It was very easy to sew together. I would try another of the numerous layouts possible as each one took on a totally different look.
Other thoughts about the mystery quilt
Had a dickens of a time to find this site. Would like to see more of the finished quilts.
