Your Favorite Aspects of Quilting
Color is my passion - I make quilts that are very bright and colorful. I prefer traditional quilt patterns - but not traditional fabric colors. My favorite fabrics are batiks and Kaffe Fassett's - I love making antique patterns using modern fabrics.
Since I discovered Inklingo (print sewing and cutting lines on the wrong side of the fabric - no rulers or templates) I have been hand piecing my quilts. I love hand piecing and also hand applique - it is very relaxing. It isn't for those who want to whip out a quilt as quickly as possible - but the journey is my favorite part.
