I am currently blogging about the 200 quilt blocks in the book, "Around the Block with Judy Hopkins". This is one of my favorite quilt books but I kept using the same patterns over and over. So I am challenging myself to make a quilt out of each block. As I am doing this, something wonderful is happening. I am realizing all the different designs the blocks make when you put four of the same blocks together. You can't see what the quilt is going to look like when you just have one block. My blog is allowing quilters to see what the blocks look like when put together. I am also giving different options.
Your Favorite Aspects of Quilting
I love turning different fabrics into a work of art. Each quilt is unique and a surprise. You can't always invision what it is going to look like. Even when you use the same pattern, different fabrics can give the quilt a completely different look.
Advice
- Blog about what you know and love. Don't worry about what you are writing. If it interest you, it will interest someone else as well.
