What made you choose the pattern?
I chose the fabric to match the decor in my bedroom.
Did you finish the quilt? If not, why?
I finished the quilt by hand because I was very determined.
What do you love (or hate) about the quilt?
I love the colors and I love the fact that I was able to complete the quilt. I wish I didn't see all the mistakes I made. But I am proud of the finished product.
What would you do differently next time?
Next time I would wash the fabric first. I did not take that advice and I can tell that the fabric would lay better if I had added this one step.
What was the most difficult aspect of the project?
The most difficult aspect of this quilt was deciding whether to machine quilt or to hand quilt. I only have a regular sewing machine and I found that trying to quilt was just too bulky. So I had to rip out all the machine quilting and resort to hand quilting. And now I'm not sorry because I feel I accomplished something I thought I could not do. All my fingers have been fused due to arthritis. But with my determination, and God's help, I was able to complete the quilt.
