What made you choose the pattern?
The quilt was for my 10 year old granddaughter. So I chose the pattern of my favorite quilt when I was a child that my mother had made for me - a Little Dutch Girl.
Did you finish the quilt? If not, why?
Yes. I don't have a picture of it since it is now in California.
What do you love (or hate) about the quilt?
I don't hate anything about the quilt, but love that my Granddaughter still sleeps with it EVERY night and she is now 41 years old. It is now in tatters but still goes with her wherever she goes.
What would you do differently next time?
Nothing. I was very pleased with how the quilt turned out.
What was the most difficult aspect of the project?
I can't remember. Remember that this was 31 years ago. I was new to quilting but had sewn all of my life. Applique wasn't new to me and I used some old and some new fabrics. It was a twin bed size so the size was not a problem .
Tips and Tricks
- I'm not sure since this was so long ago. But I have been quilting ever since, so it must have taught me that I enjoy quilting.
