What made you choose the pattern?
I wanted to make something simple and found a pattern (McCalls, I think) that looked easy.
Did you finish the quilt? If not, why?
Yes I did.
What do you love (or hate) about the quilt?
I love the colors but the workmanship is awful.
What would you do differently next time?
I would go slower (I was in a hurry to finish the quilt in time for my daughter to take it to college).
What was the most difficult aspect of the project?
At the time (1997) cutting it out. It was before I had purchased all the correct quilting equipment (rotary cutter, mat and ruler) and it seemed like it took forever to get all the pieces cut. Then trying to get the points to come out right. It didn't work so well and most of the points got cut off.
