What made you choose the pattern?
I had planned on making a Wash style quilt and for some ridiculous reason settled on two inch squares.
Did you finish the quilt? If not, why?
What do you love (or hate) about the quilt?
The blend of colours. I made it in four sections.
What would you do differently next time?
I would, and have, used proper cotton fabrics and not used old dresses that I bought from the Opp Shop. At that time I didn't have a cutting board or a roller cutter, I just measured the strips and cut them out with scissors. Big mistake, it took me ages to get the squares lined up in each row and lots of unpicking, too.
What was the most difficult aspect of the project?
Sewing the fabrics that kept slipping as they weren't cottons and lining up each row exactly. The quilt ended up fitting our Queen size bed so there were literally hundreds of 2" squares lined up ready to sew.
