Name of the quilt blocks I won
I won the very first block lotto on the About.com Forum. The blocks were Snowballs and I won all 32 of them.
When I won the block lotto
The blocks were won in January, 2002. I never win anything and when I saw JANE I had to check to see if there were other Janes who might be the winner rather than me. The individual blocks were posted as they arrived and it was always great fun to see the new ones when they came in. I'm excited that the Lotto is going to be reinstated.
Tips and Tricks
- As a fairly new quilter, seven years ago I was made aware of the importance of squaring up when I started putting all of the blocks together.
How I chose a setting for my quilt blocks
The setting is a simple block to block. In 2002 I was unable to quilt the top myself, and set it aside to send to a longarmer "someday." I now have an HQ16 and can quilt it myself. I may still add another border to make the quilt bigger
