Warm & Cozy Chains Quilt Row Layout
The Warm & Cozy Chains quilt is made by combining 32 Five Patch Chain quilt blocks with 31 Framed Nine Patch quilt blocks. It finishes at about 70" x 90".The quilt contains nine rows total, each with seven quilt blocks.
- Odd numbered rows (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) begin and end with a Five Patch Chain as shown.
- Even numbered rows (2, 4, 6, 8) begin and end with a Framed Nine Patch quilt block as shown.
Assemble the rows as shown and press seam allowances where blocks were sewn together in opposite directions before joining the rows. As you work, closely match all seam intersections.
Mark the top for quilting if necessary. Sandwich with batting and backing and quilt. Finish by sewing the binding to the quilt.
