Under the Stars is made by assembling 35 star quilt blocks. The blocks are almost identical, but 17 have a light center and light strips around their edges and 18 replace those light areas with a very dark fabric.

Quilt blocks finish at 10-1/2" square and are surrounded by sashing with cornerstones. Sashing isn't used next to the border, but you can add it if you like (where it would create an inner, pieced border.

The quilt is shown assembled with mostly neutrals, except the deep red fabric used for star tips and in sashing. Change the fabrics to suit your own tastes.
