Add Borders to the Quilt
- Use my straight border instructions to measure for borders and sew them to the quilt. Don't be tempted to take measurements along the sides of your quilt top -- it's likely skewed.
- Use 2-1/2" wide dark purple strips to create the inner narrow border. Sew to the quilt and press seam allowances either direction.
- Use 8-1/2" wide strips of pink fabric (cut on lengthwise grain) to create outer borders. That's pretty wide -- Make the border narrower if you like.
Finish the Quilt
Press the quilt and mark for quilting if necessary. Sandwich with batting and backing. Quilt and
bind.
