- Sew a red, outer sashing strip lengthwise to one side of a dark sashing strip. Sew a second outer strip to the opposite side of the dark strip.
- Press seam allowances towards the dark strip.
- Square up one end of the strip set. Cut as many 8-1/2" long segments from it as possible.
- Sew remaining sashing strips together in the same way to make a total of 10 long strip sets.
- Cut a total of twenty-four segments from the strip sets.
