Convert the Pattern to an Easy Strippy Rag Quilt
It's easy to make a rag quilt from the strippy set Road Quilt pattern. Cut the same pieces for each layer you include in the quilt and sew them together with a 1/2" seam allowance. Remember... when you make a rag quilt, patches are positioned wrong sides together for sewing.Refer to my Rag Quilt General Instructions for basic construction methods if you've never made a rag quilt, or if you'd like a refresher.
Cutting Differences
To make a rag quilt from the pattern, replace fabrics with the following sizes:
- 7" x 7" squares to match original values; cut for each of the three layers
- 4" x 7" rectangles to match original values; cut for each of the three layers
