Harvest Stars Quilt Pattern

Janet Wickell
I love quilt layouts that make blocks appear to be set on-point when they're actually sewn in horizontal rows. Straight set quilts don't require setting triangles at the ends of their rows, so you don't have to deal with stretchy bias edges to get the on-point appearance.

Two different blocks are used to assemble the Harvest Star quilt pattern, a variation of the popular Ohio Star quilt block and quarter square triangle alternate blocks. The example is sewn in fall harvest shades, but the quilt is suitable for any fabrics you would like to use.

Finished Quilt Block: 12" x 12"

Finished Quilt Size: 72" x 96"

You can adjust the finished size of the quilt by changing border width, adding more borders, or doing away with the borders entirely.
