Match all edges of the bandana and lining, wrong sides together. Secure the pieces with a few straight pins. Sew seams all the way around the sandwiched bandana, using the same seam allowance used to piece the strips.
Clip the outer seam allowances just as you did the string pieced seams.
Wash the Dog Bandana
Throw the dog bandana into the washing machine with your next load of clothes. Remove it when the cycle is finished and dry it in the dryer. The seams should be raveled nicely, but you can repeat the process to make them ravel even more. Clip loose threads if necessary.
Make a Collar
If you are making a small collar on the bandana, like Charlie's, fold the long edge of the bandana back, bringing the lined edge over the pieced edge. Sew a few short seams at the sides to tack it in place.
Apply the Velcro to the Bandana Ends
Sew a short length of the "hook" portion of Velcro on the top surface of one bandana end, where it won't accidentally touch the dog's hair or skin. Sew a matching piece of "soft" Velcro to the bottom side of the opposite end. That's it! Put the bandana on and let your doggie show it off. Make another bandana just like the first or see Page 5 for bandana variations
