Card Trick Cutting Instructions
Do not cut all of your fabric. Cut only enough to make a few blocks. That's a good rule to follow for any quilt pattern you encounter. Pattern writers (me included) make errors, and you could make an error in cutting. Always assemble a few blocks before you cut all of your fabric.Instructions assume you will use the sandwich method to create half square triangle units for block corners. Alter cutting to use a different assembly technique for those units.
Instructions calling for a 42" strip indicates a strip cut from selvage to selvage; do not trim back longer strips.
