About the Sampler Quilt
In 2007, I wrote twelve block patterns for a sampler quilt that marked my first anniversary of writing the Quilting site. It was very popular, and I've had lots of requests for more. So I had an idea... let's do a scrap sampler, with blocks that finish at 12-inches square.
I haven't listed yardages for the quilt blocks -- the idea is to use your scraps. If you don't have scraps, pick up some fat quarters or fat eighths of fabric and add to the mix as you make blocks.
The pattern was originally somewhat of a mystery, because original quilters didn't see the final layout until the quilt blocks were all assembled. You can make it in the same way or skip ahead to see the end results.
