Assemble Flying Geese and Snowballs into Rows

Janet Wickell

Make Rows from Flying Geese and Snowballs

  1. Shown top: Sew four Snowball blocks together as shown, with red triangles along the lower edge. Press. Repeat to make one more identical unit.

The patchwork strips should measure 3-1/2" x 12-1/2".

  2. Shown middle: Sew six Snowball blocks together as shown. The layout is just like the rows in Step 1, but with green-tipped Snowballs on each end of the row. Press. Repeat to make one more identical unit.

The patchwork strips should measure 3-1/2" x 18-1/2".

  3. Shown bottom: Sew five Flying Geese blocks end to end, with bar colors matched and geese all pointing in the same direction. Press. Repeat to make three more identical rows.

The patchwork strips should measure 4-1/2" x 20-1/2".
