Make Flying Geese Using the Quick Piecing Option

For Those Who Chose the Quick Piecing Method

  1. Gather the (80) 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" black rectangles and (160) 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" golden yellow squares.

  2. Use the Snowball tip technique to sew two squares to the ends of a black rectangle. Align seams as shown in the illustration. Trim corners and press open.

  3. When complete, the Flying Geese unit should measure 1-1/2" x 2-1/2".

  4. Make three more identical Flying Geese.

  5. Sew four Flying Geese together as shown, with all points headed in the same direction.

  6. The 4-geese unit should be 2-1/2" wide and 4-1/2" tall.

  7. Make a total of 20 identical 4-geese units.
