Our Block Lotto Forum Hostesses chose this scrappy sixteen-patch block for an April event, perfect timing for a fabric stash spring-cleaning event. But it's a perfect quilt block pattern to use any time you want to make a scrap quilt.
You'll cut sixteen 2-inch squares for each block, and that should help you use up a bunch of those little leftover pieces that are tucked away in boxes and bins. Three squares will be black, to give patches in the final quilts a definitive punch, but the remaining fabric choices are pretty much wide open (with just a couple of exceptions).
