Quilt block patterns are versatile. Stitching individual quilt blocks is a perfect choice when you make a scrap quilt, because you don't need cutting instructions for lots of identical blocks. Quilt block patterns also work nicely for block swaps, for sampler quilts and for times when you want to design your own layout rather than follow a pattern for an entire quilt.
Many of my free quilt block patterns go a step beyond one-block instructions, and include the details you need to make a specific quilt. You'll find designs of all sizes in my quilt block patterns archive, from miniatures to oversize blocks. I write new patterns every week, so be sure to check back for updates.
