Flying Geese Variation

This variation of the Flying Geese quilt block, with a center strip of geese bordered on each side by sashing-like strips, can be assembled with quick-piecing techniques or with foundation piecing.

Fabric Choices

Choose three different fabrics for each block: black for geese backgrounds, a jewel toned fabric for geese and another fabric for the side strips. The color scheme suggested here was used in a former Quilting Forum event -- alter the fabrics as desired.
