Nine-Patch Quilt Block Structure
Nine patch quilt blocks initially contain nine equal squares. The squares are arranged three rows across and three down, like the simple nine-patch quilt blocks left and center in the illustration above.The drawing on the right illustrates one of thousands of nine-patch block variations. Called a double nine-patch, it replaces single square grids at the center and corners with smaller nine patch blocks.
