Begin sewing the Bright Hopes quilt block.

Sew the Quilt Block

  1. Align the light center square with the lightest medium rectangle, placing right sides together as shown above and with the square on top.

  2. Begin stitching a quarter-inch seam at the end where patches meet and sew until you reach the midpoint of the square.

  3. Backstitch and remove the unit from the sewing machine.

  4. Press the partial seam towards the center square.
