From Eyeztodiefor10: I had a picture in my mind of what I wanted for this quilt, and set out to bring it into reality. I pieced the sun background and then just started creating the player by taking fabric pieces and folding and refolding them until I was satisfied with the design. Then I pinned, adding on from there. The music is from the song "Ain't no sunshine when she's gone." The lower half of his jacket include (in quilting) the names of several jazz greats including Count Basie, Miles Davis and Artie Shaw. The Jazz Player truly is a figment of my imagination.
