Grampa's Flannels

From D: I am a beginner, and didn't really know what I was doing, but with our grandson expected any day I wanted something special for him. My husband was throwing out some old flannel PJs and I thought -- why not put them to use. I looked up online how to make a quilt and found this site. I just began cutting and sewing together squares and then put them together. I thought a pocket was a great touch to put a favorite rattle in and then added Grampa's hand print with washable non toxic fabric paint. I am sure our daughter will keep this forever as she is and always will be Daddie's little girl even now that she is a mom herself. The quilt is 40" x 50".
