This quilt was designed around the border print that surrounds the center star medallion. Mirror image border print strips meet at the medallion's edges to form a lacy design along their mitered edges. The same border print was used in the center of the large star, where identical triangles were joined to create a kaleidoscope-like square.
This quilt is probably the most challenging pattern in the series, but beginners won't have a problem with it if they work slowly and follow the directions carefully.
