Literature as Quilts Challenge

Introduce Yourself Through Literature in Quilts

Quilting Challenge

Joy, one of our Quilting Forum Hostesses, challenged members of the About.com Quilting Forum to introduce themselves through literature in quilts. Each quilter chose a piece of literature that she felt close to and produced a quilt based on the work.

Selections could come from any genre the quilters chose, including textbooks, mysteries, cookbooks, picture books, religious books and plays. As the months progressed, quiltmakers met in the forum to talk about their quilts in progress and to brainstorm ideas with each other.

Be sure to have a look at this gallery. I think you'll agree that the ladies are all talented and creative quiltmakers.
