From LilyBee: My sister introduced me to quilting in 2003. I wanted something to remind me of the quilts I made the first year, and a round quilt seemed to be a good representation. Little did I know how much work a wedge quilt would be -- this one was made with an 18" Marilyn Doheny wedge ruler.
The quilt is 38" in diameter and was made by sewing scraps together, cutting them into wedges, then sewing those together. I thought I would never finish, and you can see where I gave up sewing scraps together and just added rows of single pieces of fabric. All of the fabric is from my first year quilts. I have since put photos of 100 of my quilts into a Power Point program, and am working on a second program with another close to 100 quilts. It's turned into quite a hobby for me.
