Christmas Presence Stockings

From Marilynne: "With lots of squares left from the Christmas Presence quilt, and my sister and her cat without any Christmas stockings, I drew a pattern on an advertising flyer and went to work. The front and back of the stockings are quilted (the back is red dotted fabric and I did a meandering stitch) and lined. I sewed beads, buttons and a red string of "pearls" onto a sandwich of the front, the batting, and a piece of muslin to give it security. I then made the lining, inserted it, and sewed it all together at the top using a binding technique. It became a much bigger project than I had initially thought it would be (a common ailment I suffer from) but I was happy with the results."
