The quilt is a multi-media piece featuring appliqué, embroidery, hand quilting and some machine quilting. More than 17 animals and birds native to Northwest Ohio are represented on the quilt, including a pheasant, blue heron crane, cardinals, bluebirds, hummingbirds, red wing blackbirds, gray squirrel and frogs. It was sold at public auction on June 16, 2007 at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Wauseon to benefit Sunshine Inc. of Northwest Ohio and Mennonite Central Committee."
