- Arrange the blocks into three rows, each with three quilt blocks. Variation Two blocks are placed at the four corners and the center of the quilt.
- Sew the blocks in each row together, matching edges and seam intersections. Remove paper and press allowances in adjoining rows in opposite directions. Sew rows together.
- Use my straight border instructions to measure the quilt for the inner border. Use 2" wide strips for the inner border.
- Use 4-1/2" strips for the outer border, or cut strips a different width to suit your design.
- Mark the top for quilting if necessary.
- Sandwich, quilt and bind. I used a 1/8" seam allowance to bind my quilt, but 1/4" works just as well. If you use a 1/8" allowance, end seams that distance from each corner so that miters will be accurate.. See: Mitered Binding Instructions
