Make Foundation C Units
- Place a piece 1 right side up on the unprinted side of the foundation, making sure it covers the entire area of piece 1. It should overlap the angled lines for pieces 2 and 3 and extend past the outer seam allowances (see illustration).
- Sew piece 2 and 3 triangles to the template just as you did previous long triangles. Check placement, trim seam allowance and press.
- Place a piece 4 triangle right side down; a short edge should overlap the line between pieces 3 and 4 by about 1/4". Sew on the line and flip upright to check placement. Team seam and press.
- Press the unit and trim through all layers on the outermost line.
- Make a total of 20 Foundation C units.
