Folded Fabric Star Ornament Variations
- Don't limit yourself to three fabrics and three color values. Ornaments made with just a couple of repeated fabrics can be beautiful.
- Use more layers -- just leave less space between them. Be sure to cut and fold extra fabric squares.
- Use a pictorial fabric for the starter squares (or personalize the starts with printed photos). Don't cover the pictorial center with your first layer of points. Simply begin positioning points farther outward, creating a "window" for the pictorial.
- Place a photo printed to fabric at the center of the ball -- a new baby, a wedding photo or any other memorable photo.
