The quilt is not truly a ribbon, but the combination of its undulating lines and holiday colors reminded me of Christmas candies that are folded into gentle curves.
I've included a few ideas for varying the pattern to create a set of coordinating holiday decor. The original 30" square quilt can be used as a wallhanging or a table throw, and components can be altered just a bit to create placemats and a table runner. Brainstorm and you'll probably think of more ways to put the pattern and its pieces to use.
Remember that you can change the quilt's theme entirely by choosing different fabrics -- make a Thanksgiving set or stitch it to "match" another season.
