About the Quilt Block Pattern
This quilt block pattern shows you how to assemble the traditional Summer Winds design, a nine-patch quilt block. Summer Winds finishes at 24" square. The quilt block pattern uses quick piecing techniques: rotary cut squares and rectangles, sandwiched half-square triangle units and quick flying geese.
Look near the end of this page and you'll also find a cutting chart for a 12" finished block.
Refer to How to Calculate Quilt Yardage if you would like to assemble an entire quilt from the Summer Winds block.
