Round the Corner Quilt Block Pattern

I originally drafted Round the Corner as an alternate quilt block, to be used with Wishing Ring quilt blocks in a quilt called Crossing Corners. That pattern hasn't been published yet, but you can combine the two blocks to make a quilt with the same layout.

Round the Corner is a five-patch block that's made primarily from squares, with half-square triangle units at its corners. All patchwork can be rotary cut and quick-pieced.

Finished block size: 10" x 10"

Medium brown: for outermost squares and for half-square triangle units.

  • (2) 2-1/2" x 10-1/2" strips
  • (2) 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" squares

Light neutral: for perimeter squares and half-square triangles
