Finish Sewing the Rosebud Quilt Block

  1. Sew a 6-1/2" long pieced unit to the left and right sides of your focal square, placing the blue strip to the outside. Press seam allowances towards the center square.

  2. To make the top and bottom rows, sew a red/yellow four patch unit to each end of the two remaining 6-1/2" patchwork bar units. Press seam allowances towards the four patch units.

  3. Sew a step 2 unit to the top of the center-square unit, and another to the bottom, placing the blue strips to the outside of the block. Press.

  4. The Rosebud quilt block should measure 12-1/2" x 12-1/2".
