- Sew a 6-1/2" long pieced unit to the left and right sides of your focal square, placing the blue strip to the outside. Press seam allowances towards the center square.
- To make the top and bottom rows, sew a red/yellow four patch unit to each end of the two remaining 6-1/2" patchwork bar units. Press seam allowances towards the four patch units.
- Sew a step 2 unit to the top of the center-square unit, and another to the bottom, placing the blue strips to the outside of the block. Press.
- The Rosebud quilt block should measure 12-1/2" x 12-1/2".
