About the Ohio Star Quilt Block
This version of Ohio Star, with pink or orange stars sewn onto a white-on-white (called WOW for short) background, was originally used for a swap in our Quilting Forum. Use the same colors that swappers chose, or design another theme to suit your needs. The Ohio Star quilt block is a nine-patch block made with five plain squares and four quarter-square triangle units. It's a classic block that's easy to make, but do take care to sew a quarter inch seam when assembling the patchwork units.
Choosing Pink or Orange Fabrics
Select pink or orange tone-on-tone fabrics. Multicolor prints are fine as long as they "read" as pink or orange -- which means that at a distance they must appear to be that color.Finished Block Size: 12-inches square
