Introduction to the Nine Patch Chain Quilt Block Pattern
The Nine Patch Chain quilt block, with its all-square composition, is another beginner-friendly design. I've included cutting instructions for two sizes, a 9" finished quilt block and a 13-1/2" finished quilt block.Blocks can be identical, but the Nine Patch Chain makes a wonderful scrappy quilt, so mix up your patches and have fun combining fabrics.
Small Nine Patch units in the blocks are strip-pieced, so they go together quickly. Individual patch sizes are included as an OPTION for anyone who would prefer to sew the units together piece-by-piece.
