House Quilt Pattern
We'll rotary cut all of the pieces used for the house quilt pattern. You won't cut any individual triangles at all, because the half-square triangle units in the roof, called triangle squares for short, are made from sandwiched squares.Since we're using easy-cut units for the house and its roof, choose printed fabrics that will blend together somewhat along the seams when pieces for those structures are sewn together.
I used white to illustrate the sky, window, and door, but I'm sure you can find something more creative. The narrow strip of fabric positioned under the house block could represent a sidewalk, grass, or even a flower garden. It's up to you.
Finished block size: 12-inches square

Make Triangle Square Units
- Using the 3-7/8" x 3-7/8" squares, pair the following:
- A white square and a light brown square
- A light brown square and dark brown square
- A white square and a dark brown square
- Use my easy sandwich method to make six triangle square units from the paired squares. Each completed unit should measure 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" square. Set aside.
