Assemble the Quilt Blocks & Quilt Top

Finish assembling quilt blocks, then combine all components to assemble quilt top.

Assemble the Quilt Blocks

  1. Arrange two pinwheel/bar units as shown above, placing a strip pieced sashing unit between them. Sew the rows together and press seam allowances toward the sashing. Repeat to make the three remaining blocks.

Assemble the Quilt Top

  1. Arrange the blocks in two rows. Place remaining strip pieced sashing units and 2" warm-light squares between blocks and on the outer edges of the quilt as shown.

  2. Sew the quilt's components together in 5 horizontal rows. Press seam allowances towards the pieced sashing.

  3. Join the rows, matching seam intersections carefully. Press seam allowances towards the pieced sashing to complete the quilt top.

Sandwich the top with batting and backing and quilt. Bind the quilt and add a hanging sleeve if desired.
