Sew Framed Nine Patch Quilt Blocks
The easy Framed Nine Patch quilt block pattern is made from all straight-sided patches --squares and bars. It's an excellent pattern for beginners, and can be designed with an orderly fabric arrangement or as a scrap quilt.
This Framed Nine Patch finishes at 7-1/2" x 7-1/2", perfect for a baby quilt or quilt for a child, but suitable for any type of project you want to design.
Framed Nine Patch Fabrics and Cutting
The Framed Nine Patch would be easy to make from strip pieced segments, but for this single-block pattern we'll assemble it patch by patch -- a good method for scrap quilts.

Dark blue: (9) 2" x 2" squares
Medium green: (4) 2" x 2" squares
Blue and green plaid: (4) 2" x 5" bars
