About the Quilt Block
The interior of what the Framed Friendship Star quilt block, with its 4-patch units, looks very similar to the Milky Way design, but the orientation of is patches differs.Framed Friendship Star finishes at 12-inches square, and can be assembled with quick piecing techniques. You'll find a quilt layout suggestion on page 4, along with yardages to make the quilt.
See the instructions on page 2 to make a single block from scraps. Choose:
- a rosy red fabric
- a black small-scale print
- a medium brown fabric that contrasts with the black
- a lighter tan fabric for half square triangle units
- a very light small scale print for the outer frame
