Quilt Block Layout Option

You can make this quilt block into a star block by pointing the flying geese units inward instead of outward. Shifts in value placement will change the block's appearance even more, so experiment with your lights and darks.

Possible Quilt Layout

The illustration above shows nine identical quilt blocks arranged on-point. Oversized setting triangles are sewn around the quilt's edges to make the blocks appear to float. A border completes the layout.
