Complete No-Waste Flying Geese Units
- Arrange a small neutral square on the teal fabric of each unit from previous page, right sides together and marked lines as shown, top illustration.
- Sew two seams on each unit, each a scant 1/4" from the small square's marked line. Press the unit (as is) to set the seams.
- Cut each unit apart on its original drawn line.
- Press the neutral pieces open to create four flying geese units (bottom illustration). Units should each measure 2-1/2" x 4-1/2".
Assemble the remaining Flying Geese Units
Use the same technique to make additional sets of four Flying Geese units. Combine the following squares to make the units.
- One dark teal square with four small black squares
- One large light teal square with four small neutral squares
- One large light teal square with four small black squares
Mark diagonal lines on small black squares with a light pencil, or make a crease with a Hera marker.
You should now have the following 16 Flying Geese units:
- 4 dark teal geese with light backgrounds
- 4 dark teal geese with black backgrounds
- 4 light teal geese with light backgrounds
- 4 light teal geese with black backgrounds
