Two very different ways to arrange Cactus Pot quilt blocks.

Cactus Pot Quilt Block Layout Suggestions

Like most patchwork quilt blocks, a group of Cactus Pot blocks looks entirely different when you vary their arrangement.

The Cactus Pot quilt block layout on the left is pretty traditional, and puts the blocks on point, with setting squares and triangles between them.

The quilt blocks in the layout on the right don't look very much like Cactus Pot blocks anymore, do they? In fact, they come together in several areas to form the Double T quilt block. I made the block's bottom triangle, the one under the legs, black for this illustration. If I had left them white, the Double T's might be even more apparent.

Put your blocks on a design wall and play around with them until you've found the perfect layout.
