Cactus Pot Quilt Block Pattern

The quilt block pattern for the traditional Cactus Pot design goes together quickly. It has just enough half-square triangle "blossoms" to give the quilt block a nice, prickly texture, but not so many that it becomes a chore to stitch them.

Finished Quilt Block Size: 12-inches or 4-inches square

Colors are listed for clarity. Use any fabrics you like, because there's no need to follow a specific theme. See the small square that's at one corner of the block, between two paisley/background half-square triangle units? Some quilters like for it to represent a central "bud," and cut it from a fabric that works with the "flower" rather than from the background fabric as directed below.
