Binding: Quilt Binding Instructions

  1. Use the instructions on pages 2 and 3 to make a total of (16) Aunt Addie's Album quilt blocks.

  2. Refer back to sashing illustrations on page 3. Create five long horizontal units as shown, beginning and ending each with a 1-3/4" purple square. Press seam allowances towards sashing.

  3. Arrange quilt blocks into four rows, each row with four blocks. Sew a sashing strip vertically between each block, and at the ends of the row. Press seam allowances towards the sashing.

  4. Sew all rows together, placing a horizontal sashing/corner strip between each and at the top and bottom of the quilt.

  5. Sew 4-1/2" border strips around quilt to finish the top.
