Album Churn Dash is a good choice for your own quilt, or for a group project where each person involved signs the center strip. The quilt block is easy to assemble, and that makes it a good pattern for beginning quilters.

You'll find a blank block on page 3. Make copies and fill in the spaces with colors or shades of gray. Place multiple images side by side to preview your color value arrangement.

Light background: (for half square triangles and center bar)

• (1) 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" bar

• (2) 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" squares

Black print (for darker strips in center panel)

• (2) 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" bars

Dark brown (for side rectangles)

• (4) 2" x 3-1/2" rectangles

Golden brown (for half square triangles)
